Port Washington, NY- As a Long Island and New York City photographer, I’ve had the honor of photographing baptisms across many different faiths. Although the language or ceremonial traditions often differ, there is one moment in every baptism that is consistently joyous- when the baby emerges from the water and is presented to the crowd. There is always a collective, spontaneous reaction from the guests that can only be described as a verbal outpouring of love. That was especially so at this baptism where the crowd, almost filling the Archangel Michael Church to capacity, elated at the first sight of Baby Kostas so much so that I too couldn’t help but let out my own little “ahh!” at the sight of him.
